Vijaykanth Death News: Vijayakanth, the stage name of Narayanan Vijayaraj Alagarswamy, has departed from us. The South’s film industry and politics have been rocked by his passing. In addition to being an actor, he founded the Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK) and was an Indian politician. At the age of roughly 71, Vijayakanth passed away on Thursday in a Chennai hospital. He bridged the divide between the DMK and AIADMK by standing out as an option to the public. He has departed from the public and his supporters today, creating a vacuum in DMK-AIADMK politics. He was the object of different people’s hopes, and now he has betrayed them all.
Party told about Vijaykanth
The party said in a statement that Vijaykanth had contracted COVID and was receiving ventilator assistance. He has pneumonia, according to a hospital statement that was released later.
Fan favourite Vijaykanth is popularly referred to as ‘Karuppu MGR’ (Black MGR) by his benevolent supporters. He had been ill for a number of years, which caused him to keep a low profile for the previous four or five years. After witnessing Vijaykanth’s health decline, Premalatha, his spouse, assumed official leadership of DMDK on December 14 and was named secretary during a party gathering.
According to the Madras Institute of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (MIOT) International, Vijayakanth was brought in for treatment of pneumonia. He had been dependent on a ventilator ever since. On December 28, despite receiving a lot of medical attention, he died in the morning.
The party had previously announced in a news release that Vijayakanth had been diagnosed with COVID-19 and was on a ventilator because of breathing difficulties. It said in the hospital bulletin that he had pneumonia. Hospital sources claim that the statement was released prior to the formal report’s release.

1. The public views Vijaykanth as having had a good career in the film business, having acted in 154 films prior to his subsequent foray into politics.
